Farm Tables for Your Northern Michigan Wedding Don't Have to Scream "Rustic"

Updated: Mar 16, 2021

Are you getting married in the Charlevoix, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Bay Harbor, Gaylord or the Traverse City area? Read on if you need to rent farm tables!

Farm tables are all the rage in decorating weddings and private events. Especially in the northern Michigan market, these rustic tables are highly sought after. The simple elegance, and nostalgic nature of the hand-hewn, rough cut edges to the variations in styles and colors for stains and paints leaves a lot of room for burlap and mason jar decor themes. But it doesn't have to be that way. There is clearly nothing wrong with a rustic wedding; we have many pieces that will fit into that theme nicely. The coolest thing about current trends is that, quite simply, there really aren't any rules to speak of (of course, as long as it doesn't look like a jumbled mess, it's all good). Sure, you don't want to wear white on someone else's wedding day (and even that is arguably passe), but honestly there are so many iterations of different decor elements and themed inspirations (thanks Pinterest) that if you can envision it, we can do it. And we can do it on a Farm Table! Here at Heart Wedding Decor we believe that nothing is off limits. The choice of a farm table as the backdrop to your reception table setting allows you to bring a more natural element into the space. Without having to utilize linens (other than perhaps a cotton gauze or other natural fabric runner in the center), the table can speak for itself. The natural wood-grain color can match almost every decor scheme, and it's a neutral palette for adding metallic and jewel tones. For example, this year we used our one of a kind white farm table in our home for Thanksgiving dinner. We focused on gold and autumn colors (orange, light mustard, browns and green).
