When I first met Adrianna and Kori at our showroom in 2019 (yes, 2019!), they came with their pup. One thing we definitely are at Heart Wedding Decor is a dog-friendly business! After grabbing their pup a big bowl of water, we talked about their vision for their Castle Farms wedding on 10/10/20. At that time, we certainly never foresaw or even could have imagined that we would soon be facing a pandemic and that wedding planning was about to be more stressful in ways that had nothing to do with any of us. It was a force none of us could control or predict.
However, on a more positive note, at that first meeting I quickly realized that I was going to love working with them and their ideas: terracotta with pops of navy and rose gold. They wanted elegant but not "over-the-top", with most of the focus on the terracotta and on lots of candles. They also wanted a modern feel, and my design featured acrylic pieces to create that.
Acrylic, hung from our handmade copper pipe stands, was featured in their signage, from the welcome sign to their seating chart.
The styling I created featured terracotta napkins, rose gold chargers and flatware and the pops of navy were from faux blue thistle that I nestled into our silver dollar eucalyptus. I also surprised Adriana, Kori and their guests by folding the napkins into the shape of roses on the guest tables.
So in spite of everything Covid threw at all of us, we persevered and Heart gave them the wedding of their dreams.
Said the couple: "Shannon made our wedding absolutely beautiful. We loved her ideas and she has amazing style. She was very understanding and easy to work with through the highs and lows that this year brought. Shannon and (her assistant) Carly do the most gorgeous décor. They were able to provide exactly what we envisioned and did a great job at listening to what was important to us. They truly went out of their way, and above and beyond our expectations to make our wedding look and feel special. We would recommend Heart Wedding Decor to anyone. They are nothing but the best."
