"We googled it and Castle Farms came up first. We took one look and we both knew it was THE ONE."
Regardless of how you find Castle Farms, you will quickly find it's an absolutely gorgeous and unique venue and Charlevoix is an absolutely beautiful place (as is most of northern Michigan!)
When Andrea and I first Zoom chatted, she expressed interest in a modern and timeless feel with a color palette of black, white and gold. We decided to keep the standard white linens and topped them with a black chiffon runner and black and gold-based tablescaping. For the sweetheart, I pulled in both black and gold candlesticks and a few other surprises (gold flatware and napkin rings! It doesn't get more elegant than those two simple additions!)
And they made it clear that for the tablesettings and centerpieces, they wanted simple, but not boring. So for their tables I added a couple strands of willow leaves, our ever-popular glass cylinder vases and pretty white and ivory pops of floral. All around the table were gold votives, which added a level of romance too!
